DROP 001 - HOT STUFF

Caliente is an independent brand built on the beauty of contrast, whether in color, time, music, or personality. It’s about discovering balance in the unexpected and drawing energy from opposites. For our launch campaign, we captured a series of vivid summer moments where the setting plays against the spirit of the clothing. The designs, with their playful colors, bold prints, and distinctive details, bring a lively, expressive edge.

The name Caliente, Spanish for “hot”, evokes heat, passion, boldness, and spice. It perfectly captures the essence of the woman who wears these pieces: confident, vibrant, and unapologetically herself. And yet, that very intensity sometimes contrasts with the softness or whimsy found in the clothes, another layer of unexpected harmony.

The shoot took place in Scheveningen, a location that naturally embodies contrast. The sleek, modern boulevard lined with cold architecture stands in sharp contrast to the organic calm of the beach and the sea. This meeting of urban edge and coastal quiet created the ideal stage to express Caliente’s core.

My First Collection is all about the duality and contrast of summer dressing. These are the kind of pieces you can throw on with flip-flops for a beachy afternoon, then dress up with boots or heels when the sun goes down. There are no buttons involved, everything is very comfortable, even after a plate of pasta.
